NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Defensive end Alex Okafor is coming off a solid 2018 campaign. For starters he was healthy, which wasn't a guarantee when he tore his achilles in November of 2017.
He played in all 16 games for the Saints, finishing with a respectable 4.5 sacks and 36 tackles, and graded out good against the run.
Okafor is only 28 years old, and plays a coveted position around the NFL. There just isn’t enough good edge pass rushers, which could make the market for his services tricky.
Could the demand for pass rushers drive up the price for Okafor? It’s certainly possible.
If that price gets too high, then the Saints would probably walk away. But if the price is reasonable, then Okafor could be back in 2019.
