NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane ended the 2018 season on a downturn, finishing the campaign with a 25-33 record. With optimism high as usual to start a new season, the Wave pulled out a close one, beating George Washington, 3-2.
It wasn’t a storybook ending, an error by the GW shortstop, plated pinch runner Hudson Haskin for the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
David Bedgood and and Kobi Owen drove in the only runs for Tulane.
Senior pitcher Kaleb Roper went seven strong, giving up only four hits and registering five strike outs.
Tulane returns to action Saturday against George Washington. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
