NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -Today has been another cool day as temps stay in the lower to middle 60s. Mostly cloudy skies and occasional showers are expected. Not a washout for your Tuesday by any stretch.
A frontal boundary will move into the area on Wednesday. Rain and storms will be likely, and a few storms could be strong to severe. At this time, the best chance is north of the lake but areas around New Orleans will need to monitor these storms as well. Some of the rain may be slow to move out, so there could be some street flooding.
The front will slowly retreat northward on Thursday keeping rain chances around. Near record heat is possble as highs will reach to around 80 degrees Friday and Saturday. Based on current trends, it does not look like wash out conditions for the parades Friday through Sunday, although there could be some showers. Stay tuned.
