NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -A warm, muggy, foggy, rainy mess is expected for at least the first half of today as a cold front approaches. Rain and storms will be likely, and a few storms could be strong to severe.
Some of the rain may be slow to move out, so there could be some street flooding. Behind the front this afternoon, temperatures will briefly drop into the 60s.
The front will return as a warm front Thursday keeping rain chances around and warming us back up. Near record heat is possible as highs will reach around 80 degrees Friday and Saturday. At this time, we look to have some showers around Friday. Saturday night looks stormy as a cold front moves in to clear us out for Sunday.
Early next week looks wet again.
