St. John deputy rescues seagull

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -A St. John The Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy is being praised for going above and beyond for Louisiana’s wildlife.
According to a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page, Deputy John Norsworthy saw an injured seagull fly into the side of a moving vehicle on Belle Terre Boulevard in LaPlace.
Norsworthy saw the bird fall onto the road, and noticed it was stunned and sustained a leg and hip injury.
According to the post, Deputy Norsworthy was able to capture the bird and transport it to a veterinary clinic for medical treatment.
Thanks to Norsworthy’s efforts, the bird is expected to make a speedy recovery.
