NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -A movie shot in New Orleans racked up awards at the Oscars Sunday night.

The segregation-era drama Green Book was named Best Picture at the 91st Annual Academy Awards.

Green Book also won the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay.

A number of Loyola University instructors and music students also worked on the film.

Sunday, New Orleans’ Hannah Beachler became the first African American to win an Oscar for production design for her work on Black Panther.
