Man escapes 2-alarm house fire in Kenner

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire in Kenner Wednesday morning.
The fire started in the 400 block of Taylor St. sometime before 7 a.m.
Jerome Turner, the owner of the house, said he has lived there for 75 years. He woke up to flames and tried to extinguish the fire but eventually had to escape.
The fire was under control around 8 a.m., but Kenner firefighters called it a total loss.
