NOPD: One arrested, two others sought after man is beaten and robbed during party
34-year-old Jairin Rising and two others are accused of beating and robbing a man Wednesday morning.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police have arrested one person and is searching for two others who attacked a man during a party Wednesday morning.

According to police, the 53-year-old victim was at a party near the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and Burgundy Street just after 1 a.m. when he was attacked by three suspects. The suspects allegedly hit the victim with a 2x4 and one of the suspects pulled out a gun before taking his cash and cell phone.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by EMS to be treated for his injuries.

One suspect, who has been identified as 34-year-old Jairin Rising, was arrested at the scene.

Police are searching for two others who were involved in the incident. No description has been released of the suspects.
