NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a suspect who stole a bike from the front yard of a home Monday.

Police say a man was captured on surveillance video riding up to a home in the 4900 block of Baronne Street just before 8 a.m. on a bicycle. The suspect then walks into the front yard of the home, takes the bike and flees the scene riding the victim’s bike while pulling his bike behind him.

Police released the surveillance video of the theft in hopes it will help them identify the suspect.

If anyone has any information about the robbery, the identity of the robber or the location of the bike, they are asked to contact NOPD Detective Sa’Brina James or any Second District detective at (504) 658-6020 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
