Motorcyclist dies following crash in Harahan
A New Orleans man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Harahan Monday afternoon.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A New Orleans man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Harahan Monday afternoon.

According to Louisiana State Police, 85-year-old Janice Musso of Harahan was driving a 2018 Subaru Forester eastbound on Jefferson Highway in the left turn lane just before 5 p.m. Musso failed to yield at the intersection near Folse Street and turned into the path of a motorcycle traveling westbound on Jefferson Hwy. The motorcycle crashed into the Subaru causing the rider to be ejected.

The rider of the motorcycle, 20-year-old Cole H. Benoit, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to University Medical Center for treatment. He later succumbed to his injuries Thursday.

Musso was not injured in the crash.

Impairment is not considered to be a factor in the crash for Benoit.

Musso submitted to a chemical test for intoxication after the crash and the results showed no signs of impairment.

The crash remains under investigation.
