NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a spectacular Easter weekend with beautiful blue sky, plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures the nice spring conditions hold on for a few more days. High pressure is moving across the region so we will see the dry air mass moderating a bit as we move from the calm center to the southerly flow on the back side of the system, but only expect moderate changes with slightly warmer conditions and a few more clouds. Temperatures will remain seasonable with low 60s overnight and near 80 during the day. We will stay dry through Wednesday. Thursday is the next best chance for rain as our next storm system approaches from the west. I know we are watching the weekend closely again as it will be the opening of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. We’ll get better details on the timing as it gets closer.
