LSU a No. 2 seed in latest regional projections

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU is heading east in Baseball America’s updated college baseball projected field of 64, announced on Wednesday.

The Tigers are a two seed in the projected Coral Gables Regional.
Projected Coral Gables Regional teams:
- Miami
- Louisiana State
- Florida Atlantic
- Wright State
Last week LSU was projected to host a regional, but that changed after the Tigers dropped two games to Ole Miss.
SEC teams included in the projected field of 64:
- Ole Miss (No. 1 seed, Oxford, MS)
- Vanderbilt (No. 1 seed, Nashville, TN)
- LSU (No. 2 seed, Coral Gables, FL)
- Arkansas (No. 1 seed, Fayetteville, AR)
- Tennessee (No. 3 seed, Corvallis, OR)
- Mississippi State (No. 1 seed, Starkville, MS)
- Texas A&M (No. 2 seed, Stillwater, OK)
- Missouri (No. 2 seed, Waco, TX)
- Georgia (No. 1 seed, Athens, GA)
- Auburn (No. 2 seed, Greenville, NC)
The Tigers travel to Fayetteville to face SEC West leading Arkansas in a huge conference series beginning Thursday night at Baum-Walker Stadium.
