NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Shots rang out in incidents in two New Orleans neighborhoods within minutes of each other Wednesday night, leaving two people injured.

At about 8:30 p.m., police were called to Hendee and Wagner streets in Algiers, where they found a male with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He was taken to the hospital via EMS. His condition is not known.

Then, at about 8:35 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of St. Anthony Street, where they found a male with a gunshot wound to an unspecified part of the body. There was no word on his condition.

No further information was available.
