NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) - Travelers in southeast Louisiana are getting more options after Air Transat added direct flights between Montreal and New Orleans.
The Canadian leisure airline announced it will offer two direct flights a week from Montreal, beginning November 3, 2019. Air Transat will fly twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays to New Orleans, according to a news release from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
“With the steady demand for New Orleans, Air Transat is pleased to be the only airline to offer non-stop service from Montreal to this unique vacation destination, and to be enhancing its offering for next winter with this distinctive option,” says Annick Guérard, Chief Operating Officer, Transat. Guérard added that the flights will provide more flexibility to business travelers visiting Louisiana.
Air Transat flies to some 60 destinations in more than 25 countries in the Americas and Europe, offers domestic and feeder flights within Canada, and carries some 5 million passengers every year.
