NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) -The dry weather pattern will stay locked in through the Memorial Day holiday weekend. A ridge of high pressure will continue building to our east through the weekend. That will mean hotter temperatures and a continued lack of rain through the middle of next week. The heat index will be near 100 at times over the weekend.
A change in the pattern is possible late next week. It will likely stay hot but with a chance of daily storms.
