NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - A search is underway for a 17-year-old boy who jumped off a boat near Ship Island Saturday afternoon (June 29), according to the United States Coast Guard.

The boy was reported missing around 1:20 p.m., the Coast Guard said, after jumping off the Lady Monroe yacht roughly 0.25 miles off West Ship Island.

As of 10:30 p.m., the boy had not been found.
