NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - A mandatory evacuation for the east bank of Plaquemines Parish will be lifted at 8 p.m., Parish President Kirk Lepine announced Saturday (July 13).

Lepine said floodgates may still be closed and drivers may need to use the bypass road to get around it.

The Belle Chase/Scarsdale ferry will resume operations at 7 a.m. Sunday and the Pointe Ala Hache ferry will do the same at noon.
