NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - The Tigers win at Tuscaloosa elevated LSU to the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. It also delivered euphoria throughout the 2020 LSU recruiting class.
“As you could see three or four guys ended their recruitment right then and there that were committed to LSU. Our group chat was going crazy. We were sending text back-and-forth right after the game. I was just in shock that we had finally beat them. I really didn’t have a reaction until a couple of hours later. I was just did this really just happen. We just ended an eight-game winning streak,” said LSU 2020 commit T.J. Finley.
The victory also triggered another commitment for the 2020 class. Alexandria’s four-star defensive lineman, Jacobian Guillory, is now in Coach O’s fold.
“Obviously yesterday played a big part in it. I went down there and talked to Coach O and said this is home for me. I kept coming back, and the more I came back I realized this is home, and this is where I want to be,” said Jacobian Guillory.
Finley was the very first commitment for the 2020 class. A group that is still evolving with early signing day a month away.
“It’s very exciting to know I’m one of the faces of the class. I’m still going after some guys. To see where this class ends up, is going to be an amazing sight to see,” said Finley.
Right now Rivals ranks LSU as the No. 1 recruiting class in the country for 2020.
