After a frigid start, temperatures will only reach the low 50s this afternoon. Clouds are expected to build in later in the day and tonight which will keep temperatures above freezing through Thursday morning.
As a weak disturbance moves across the Gulf of Mexico, some showers are likely on Thursday. Behind the low, more cool and dry air will move in for the weekend. Temperatures will stay below normal into the early part of next week.
Some light freezes are possible north of the lake this weekend, but hard freezes are not expected.
