Two suspects wanted for Slidell vehicle burglary and multi-state crime spree

Slidell, La. (WVUE) - A couple linked to a vehicle burglary in the Slidell area is also wanted for similar crimes in other states.

On Sept. 24, STPSO deputies responded to a vehicle burglary that occurred at a preschool in the Slidell area. The couple then used the victim’s stolen driver’s license to cash checks in areas throughout Slidell and Ocean Springs, MS areas; and to rent a vehicle in Miami, FL.

Detectives were later able to identify the vehicle used in the crimes and obtained a positive identification of one of the two perpetrators involved in the multi-state crime spree, according to a report sent by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, Nov. 7, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Cariann Marie Veasey, of Boca Raton, FL, on simple burglary for vehicle burglary that occurred in STPSO’s jurisdiction.

The second subject involved is still unidentified at this time.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Carianne Marie Veasey or with information about the black male who is accompanying her on these crimes, is asked to call the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 898-2338.
