Southeastern overcomes 17 point deficit; tops Villanova in first round of FCS playoffs

HAMMOND, La. (WAFB) - The Southeastern Louisiana Lions overcame a 17 point deficit to defeat the Villanova Wildcats in Strawberry Stadium in the first round of the FCS playoffs.

The Lions were down 31-7 at halftime and scored 31 points in the second half, 17 of them unanswered in the third quarter.

The Lions will travel to Missoula, MT to face the Montana Grizzlies in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m.
