The crash involved a driver and a pedestrian near the intersection of Hwy. 190 and Maris Stella Street.

Police say Vincent Mancuso, 68, of Pearl River, La., was traveling east on Highway 190W in his 2016 Ford F-150. It is believed that an unidentified black male was attempting to cross the highway near the intersection of Maris Stella Street. The male was struck by the Ford F-150 and later succumbed to his injuries sustained during the crash.

Mancuso voluntarily submitted to toxicology tests, which are pending; however, drugs and/or alcohol impairment is not suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash. Toxicology is also pending on the unidentified deceased male. At this time, the identity of the deceased is unknown. St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Charles Preston will release more information later on in hopes of identifying the deceased.
