NEW ORLEANS, La. (WVUE) - NOPD is currently investigating the homicide of a 70-year-old man in the 1600 block of Treasure Street.
A person allegedly forced their way into the man’s home on Monday, Jan. 20 before shooting him in the chest. He was then taken to the hospital where he later died.
Neighbors say he was a nice man who often helped others.
“Very quiet guy, he’s helped me do a few things. He was a plumber. He’s done some odds and ends in the neighborhood..plumbing jobs and even helped do some bricks someone had accidently ran their car into the miracles hall, so he was good guy," neighbor La Voy said.
The investigation is still ongoing. Updates will be provided here.
