ORLEANS PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police say two missing children who were allegedly taken by their mother have been found safe as of Wednesday, March 18.
Police say the boys’ mother and suspect, Latina Marie Oates, 33, is now in custody.
State police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory Tuesday, March 17 on behalf of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and the Laurel Police Department because at the time they believed the two children may have been in danger.
Police say Latina Marie Oates, 33, of Powell, Ohio, is accused of taking her two children from the Hampton Inn in Laurel, Miss. during the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 17.
