10:00 p.m.: Delta is still bringing life-threatening storm surge within warning areas.
9:58 p.m.: Cinnamon Cornell gives a live update from the Golden Nugget.
9:38 p.m.: Delta now 10 miles north of Jennings with winds gusting on the backside of the system.
Iowa police units responded to a report of a flipped vehicle earlier this evening. No one was at the vehicle when officers arrived.

9:16 p.m.: The DeRidder Fire Department is currently on the scene of a fire at a dry cleaners on Port Street.

9:00 p.m.: Strong winds continue to spread inland. Opelousas reports sustained winds of 39 mph and gust up to 64 mph.
9:00 p.m.: Cleco reports 59,595 outages - 5,400 in Allen, 5,00 in Beauregard and 1,500 in Vernon
8:50 p.m.: BECi reports 42K outages - 14.9K in Beauregard, 12.2K in Calcasieu, 8K in Vernon and 5.5K in Allen.

8:30 p.m.: Over 128,000 Entergy customers without power in Louisiana. Over 47,000 in Calcasieu alone.

8:00 p.m.: Sustained winds of 70 mph reported in Calcasieu and gust up to 86 mph. New Iberia reported sustained winds of 58mph and gust 86mph.
6:54 p.m.: Delta brings life-threatening storm surge and dangerous conditions.
6:08 p.m.: Delta makes landfall as Category 2 Hurricane near Creole.
5 p.m. update: Eyewall of Hurricane Delta moving onshore.

4 p.m. update: Hurricane Delta continues to move closer as it’s currently 35 miles south of Cameron. Winds are still 105 mph with gusts to 125 mph.

3 p.m.: We’ve been sent in photos of downed power poles on Dave Dugas Road in Carlyss.

2:30 p.m.: Jennings Police Chief Danny Semmes. So far no reports of damage or downed lines. Jennings police still responding to calls as they come in.
2 p.m. update: Hurricane Delta remains a Cat 2. Likely to hit landfall about 6 p.m. Winds decrease, but still Category 2 hurricane.
1:45 p.m.: Look at I-10 in Lake Charles.
1:20 p.m.: There have now been two major wrecks on I-10 today, both involving 18-wheelers in the curve near Fruge Street. Please stay safe if you’ve got to be on the road.
A crash in the westbound happened this morning, and a crash in the eastbound lanes happened this afternoon.
All lanes are currently open.
