NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Welcome into Juan’s World where dirt is sometimes the best medicine. As in, I want Drew Brees to rub some dirt on whatever injury he’s dealing with right now, and move on to next weeks game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Ofcourse, I knows its not that easy. Brees is clearly hurting. He said his rib injury isn’t painful. He just knows something isn’t quite right. If it was right, he would’ve played through it on Sunday.

Remember last season when Brees left the Rams game with an injured thumb. Teddy Bridgewater came in and struggled. But, the next five games he didn’t. A weeks worth of practice, taking starters snaps, was just want Bridgewater needed to win five straight games.

Might this be the case if Jameis Winston has to take over like Teddy did? Might a weeks worth of starters snaps in practice get him comfortable enough in the offense to keep this team winning games?

I sure hope so, if it has to come to that. But, and this is not a knock on Winston, hopefully it doesn’t have to come to that.

This Black and Gold train doesn’t need to hit any bad track in their push for home field throughout the playoffs. And I feel like, no Drew Brees is what that’ll lead to. A train derailment.

So here’s hoping Brees finds some of that good dirt, rubs it on, and takes one for the team come next Sunday when the Dirty Birds roll into the Superdome.

The Who Dat nation is counting on it.

Juan’s World, Juan’s World. Excellent!!!
