Multiple cold fronts expected this week

Some rain likely

FORECAST: Mon., Jan. 4 - Southern snow a possibility late this weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Beautiful January weather will continue on Tuesday with lots of cool sunshine. Clouds move in on Wednesday and rain could break out by the evening hours. A cold front will move through the area overnight with rain likely.

By Tuesday it will be cooler with temperatures in the 50s. There will be quite a few clouds but also some peaks of sun. It stays cool and cloudy at times on Friday and Saturday.

The next big rain chance will arrive some time on Sunday. It’s unclear this far out if the rain will break out by the afternoon or largely be overnight. More cold air spills in for early next week and daytime highs may not get above 50 to start the week.
