NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The first of several cold fronts will arrive on Thursday bringing cloudy, cool and breezy weather. A reinforcing shot of cold air arrives by Friday and temperatures may struggle to get out of the 40s during the day.
The weekend will stay cool with freezes possible away from the lake on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Clouds move back in Sunday with some spotty rain possible late in the day. A Gulf low will form and move near the Louisiana coast Sunday night and into Monday bringing rain to the area. It’s possible some snow could mix with the rain near and around Southwest Mississippi. There’s a lot of uncertainty but at this time major winter impacts to our area are on the low side.
Cool and dry weather returns for the middle of next week.
