NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Welcome into Juan’s World. Hurdle #1 has been crossed by the New Orleans Saints. Beating the Chicago Bears in their first playoff game helps to erase the sadness that was felt after losing last years first round playoff game to Minnesota. And it doesn’t matter that the Saints didn’t play their best football. Sometimes a win really is just a win.

Drew Brees threw for 265-yards and completed a couple of touchdown passes in the Saints 21-9 win over the Bears. By no means was he unstoppable in the pocket. And, by no means was the Saints offense a juggernaut. It did what it needed to do to get the win and in the post season, that’s all that matters.

It was good to see Michael Thomas back on the field. It was great to see Deonte Harris being the best player in the biggest game of the season. And it was awesome to see the Saints defense playing up to their own high expectations.

Now the hard part. All of those guys need to be even better next week when Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs come to town.

This entire Saints team needs to be better the third time around against the Buccaneers. Sean Payton knows this. Drew Brees has re-iterated this . This time of the NFL season demands this.

Now, let’s do this.

Juan’s World, Juan’s World. Excellent!!
