NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After a couple of weeks of chilly weather, a much more mild pattern will take hold for this week. Temperatures will reach the 70s at times with overnight lows mostly in the 50s. It’s expected to remain dry through Thursday.
The next significant weather maker will be a cold front and area of low pressure that may bring more widespread rain to the region by Friday. Most if not all of the rain will exit on Saturday with cooler weather behind it. However it will just return temperatures to normal January conditions in the lower 60s.
Yet another warm-up will begin on Sunday ahead of the next storm early next week. With the warmer weather there could be an increasing risk of sea fog off and on over the next week.
