NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - “DBU” picked up another star cornerback with the commitment of Acadiana’s Laterrance Welch.
He’s listed at 6′1″, 180 pounds. Rivals ranks Welch the No. 12 corner in the country. The junior is also the state’s No. 8 overall prospect.
Welch has won back to-back Class 5A state championships with Acadiana.
Welch is the 8th member of LSU’s 2022 recruiting class. Rivals ranks the class No. 3 in the country right now.
