NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It was great while it lasted but the nice weather comes to an end as a quick change to clouds and rain chances rolls in to round out the work week.
Friday will start much like the past few with a morning chill in the air. Most locations will wake up to the 40s before we warm up nicely to right around 70 degrees. The big change for Friday will be the increasing clouds and eventual rain chances. I think most of the day we stay dry but by the drive home time and continuing into your Friday evening, rain showers will overspread the area. This rain event won’t be anything too significant nor will there be a severe weather threat.
The good news is this weather system will be in and out with us reverting back to the nice weather just in time for the weekend. Clouds will depart leaving behind lots of sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 60s Saturday and Sunday. It will certainly be a pleasant weekend of weather to enjoy outdoors.
Once we get past the weekend, highs will start to creep back up on us. Come Monday 70s look to return with upper 70s possible by the middle of the week. Slowly moisture and the humidity will return as we go through the week.
