NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Several areas of low pressure will move across the area for the middle of this week and stall. This is setting the stage for multiple rounds of rain and storms some of which may produce heavy rainfall. The highest chance for flooding will likely be Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
It’s too early to get specific about who might see the heaviest rain, but most of the FOX 8 viewing area is in the threat area. Flood watches will likely be issued on Monday.
Another round of faster moving storms may occur on Thursday and this could also bring severe weather. A brief dry out will occur on Friday. At least a few storms are likely to return on Saturday before another push of drier air arrives by next Sunday.
