NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Saints are in the home stretch of preparing for the 2021 NFL Draft. Chris Hagan and Sean Fazende analyze the latest reports of interest and strategy, plus the positional needs that may dictate certain selections.

Hagan on the dire need for cornerback help:

“We don’t know what’s going to happen with Marshon Lattimore. His arrest could lead to a suspension, a possible multi-game suspension and if that happens, you get to a situation where you’re down your best corner, are you starting a rookie? What other possibility is there? Obviously they didn’t make any big signings there in free agency. It feels like desperation which we don’t often see from this team in the draft.”

“If you’re the Saints, you’ve got to make sure you get a guy that A - is highly-graded and B - at that position, fills a need. If it doesn’t happen in the first round, I guarantee you they move up in the second round to get whatever the best cornerback available is.”
