A few spotty storms are still expected today. Outside of those, typical hot and humid summer weather has really settled in. Little, if any, rain is expected Thursday through Saturday. Highs will range from the low to mid 90s, and that will put the heat index in the 100-108° range during the hottest part of the day.

It’s possible that a weak front may get close to the area by the end of the weekend and bring a slightly better storm chance Sunday. Spotty storms should remain in the forecast early next week.

Development is not expected in the tropics this week. Disturbed weather around Central America is being monitored but development isn’t likely in the near future.
