NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A triple shooting Saturday night in Mid-City has left two men and a 15-year-old girl dead, New Orleans police said.
The gun violence erupted around 6:52 p.m. in the 2900 block of Conti Street, near the Lafitte Greenway, police said. Officers responding to a report of gunfire found the three victims, and the two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
The wounded girl was taken for hospital treatment by New Orleans EMS personnel. But the NOPD announced Sunday at 12:15 p.m. that she also had died.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s office on Monday identified the victims as 56-year-old Marvin Pepp, 39-year-old Donald Roberts Jr. and 15-year-old Heaven Nettles.
Police have not said whether they have developed a suspect or motive for the shooting, but said the group was approached by one gunman who fired upon the trio.
Anyone with information on the triple fatal shooting is asked to contact NOPD homicide detective Leonard Bendy at (504) 658-5300 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
