14-year-old killed in Little Woods identified by coroner

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a shooting in the Little Woods area of New Orleans East as 14-year-old Malik Carter.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, Carter was shot and killed around 11:40 a.m. in the 7900 block of Dorsett Street.

Carter was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital where he later died.
