NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - Fresh off the release of his highly-anticipated album, Kendrick Lamar announces a global tour that includes a stop in New Orleans this summer.

The Los Angeles rapper will bring his “Big Steppers Tour” to the Smoothie King Center on July 29.

The big tour announcement comes on the heels of Lamar’s first studio album in five years, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.” The 18-track double disk project is the rapper’s fifth studio album.

The 37-date tour kicks off in Oklahoma on July 19, moving across North America, Europe and Australia before wrapping in New Zealand in late December.

Lamar will be joined by artists Baby Keem, on all dates, and Tanna Leone, on select dates, who both also make appearances on the album.

Tickets go on sale at noon on May 20 via Kendrick Lamar’s website, oklama.com.
