LSU’s Maason Smith tears ACL; done for season
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU sophomore defensive tackle Maason Smith suffered a torn ACL against Florida St. and will miss the rest of the season, head coach Brian Kelly confirmed on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Brody Miller with The Athletic first reported about the injury.
Smith injured his knee in the first quarter against Florida State when he jumped up to celebrate a tackle-for-loss. It’s a big blow to the Tiger defensive line and there were high expectations heading into the season for the star tackle.
