NEW ORLEANS (NOLA WEEKEND) - New Orleans rap legend and entrepreneur Master P plans to return for a hometown show at the Smoothie King Center on April 28.

The event, dubbed the “Master P and Friends Second Annual Camouflage Birthday Bash,” takes place a day ahead of the rap legend’s 53rd birthday.

Master P’s birthday bash concert will feature “some surprise special guests,” according to a description of the concert on the Smoothie King Center website. However, more details about this year’s entertainment have yet to be announced.

Last year, the mogul also celebrated his birthday at the Smoothie King Center when his “No Limit Reunion” tour stopped at the Smoothie King Center. The rapper was joined on stage by fellow No Limit Records alumni and other surprise guests like Nelly, Snoop Dogg, and Keith Sweat.

Master P, who was born Percy Robert Miller Sr., grew up in the Calliope Projects before rising to fame as the hip-hop mogul who founded No Limit Records.

After decades of making music, the mogul has increasingly shifted his focus toward entrepreneurial ventures in the food industry. Master P has invested in Rap Snacks, a popular potato chip brand with flavors tied to popular rap stars. He also launched a line of food products called “Uncle P’s” in 2020, including seasonings, pancake mix, syrup, grits, rice, beans and oatmeal.

Tickets for the concert go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 3 via ticketmaster.com. Find more information at smoothiekingcenter.com.
