Armstrong Intl. Airport cancels Thursday flights
FOX 8 News received the following press release from officials at Armstrong International Airport Wednesday afternoon:
The Airlines have canceled all commercial flights for Thursday, August 30 as a result of Hurricane Isaac. The Airport is in discussions with airlines on the resumption of commercial flights. The lack of commercial power continues to be an obstacle for the resumption of scheduled airline service. Entergy provides two power feeds to the Airport but both feeds are out due to Hurricane Isaac. The Airport is currently operating with limited life safety backup generator power.
