State Police: 14 year-old dies from weekend bicycle crash

Gray, La. - A 14 year-old boy who was hit by a truck in Terrebonne Parish on November 2nd has died in the hospital due to his injuries. The teen has been identified as Logan Bergeron of Gray, La.
Investigators with Troop C say Bergeron was riding his bike Friday evening on Country Estates Drive when he switched to a lane of oncoming traffic and was hit by a Dodge Ram truck. Bergeron was ejected from the bicycle and transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries that killed him four days later.
The Dodge was driven by 28-year-old Stephen Pellegrin of Houma, who submitted to a breath test at the time of the accident. State Police say he was found to be above the legal limit of .08g%. Pellegrin was arrested for DWI and further charges are pending. This crash remains under investigation.
