Daiquiri Place Cafe loses alcohol permit

New Orleans, La.-  A Saint Charles Avenue daiquiri shop loses its alcohol permit.

The city says Tuesday, The New Orleans Alcohol and Beverage control board voted to revoke the permit from Daiquiri Place Café, which is about four blocks from Lee Circle.

The city says it brought charges against the business after it violated a 2007 consent judgment and other nuisance issues.

Under the judgement, the city said the business was required to have security at all times and abide by early closing hours.

The city says the Daiquiri Place Café didn't comply with the terms of the agreement.
