Breast implants conceal cocaine
Madrid- Drug smugglers constantly experiment with new ways to slip contraband past police.
Spanish authorities arrested a Panamanian woman who allegedly took that to a new extreme.
They say they found about 3 pounds of cocaine concealed in her breast implants.
Spain's Interior Ministry says border police at the Barcelona airport noticed fresh scars and blood-stained gauze on her chest with pale patches showing beneath her skin.
The woman claimed she recently had breast implant surgery. Still, police were suspicious and sent her to a hospital where the implants were removed and found to contain cocaine with a street value of about $100,000.
The woman arrived on a flight from Bogota, Colombia.
