Arrest made in shooting death of SE Louisiana student

UPDATE: Hammond Police make an arrest in the murder of a Southeastern University graduate student.

According to authorities, Hammond police arrested 20-year-old Richard Hudson at his New Orleans residence on Saturday.

He's been booked with murder.

Investigators are still looking for the second suspect, 20-year-old Terry Michael Landry of Gretna.

On Friday afternoon, officers found 23-year-old Raphael Garreson lying on the floor of his Hammond apartment with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Investigators believe narcotics was the motive.

Hammond, La. - Hammond police are investigating the death of a Southeastern Louisiana University graduate student who was shot inside his apartment.

Police say 23-year-old Raphael Garrison was killed around 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Lt. Vincent Giannobile said police found Garrison lying on the floor of his apartment. Investigators don't know how many times he was shot.

Gainnobile says police are looking for two men seen leaving the area in a tan car.
