Student raped inside Loyola University parking garage

New Orleans, La. - The New Orleans Police Dept. is investigating a rape on the campus of Loyola University early Friday morning.

According to the NOPD's major offense log, the victim was sexually assaulted inside a university parking garage.

University officials sent out an alert to students about the attack which says the student reported being attacked by an acquaintance in the Freret Street parking garage.

The victims told police she had been consuming alcoholic beverages at a bar when she met the alleged suspect and began dancing with him during the night.

The victim further stated that she allowed him to walk her home at which time she alleges that he sexually assaulted her while they were in the Loyola parking garage.
