Bayou Corne, La. - People monitoring a sinkhole in Assumption Parish say they're noticing some changes around Bayou Corne.
Parish emergency managers say they noticed fluid and gas movement at the surface of the sinkhole earlier this week. The new movement happened after days of no activity.
The new activity wasn't enough to take people working to stabilize the situation away from the site.
Hundreds of homes in the area have been evacuated for nearly a year because of the problem.
