NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts wants students to spread out over 60,000 more square feet.

According to our partners at New Orleans CityBusiness, NOCCA plans to expand its Marigny campus with the renovation of a large warehouse on Chartres Street.

The renovated building will be known as the NOCCA Forum. It will house additional classrooms, laboratories and kitchens for its culinary arts program.

Work crews should start renovation work before the end of October.

The $12 million project is expected to take about a year to complete.
