Man calls 911 needing a woman, gets arrested instead

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a man after he called 911 Saturday night and told dispatchers he "needed a woman."

A spokesman for the sheriff's office officers ran the criminal history of Kareem Collins and learned that he was a convicted sex offender.

Police say Collins had failed to contact the proper authorities when he moved from New Orleans to Slidell.

Collins didn't get the woman he was looking for Saturday night, but he did get a ride to the St. Tammany Parish Jail after he was arrested for failure to register for a change of address.
