Plane crashes in McDonald's parking lot in Monroe

MONROE, La. (AP) - A small airplane has crashed in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Monroe.
Ron Phillips, the director of Monroe Regional Airport, told The News-Star that the pilot was injured in the crash. The pilot was believed to be the only person aboard. There were no reports of injuries on the ground.
The plane was upside down in the parking lot of a McDonald's.
The News-Star reported that the plane left Carmi Municipal Airport in southeastern Illinois at about 8 a.m. It was last tracked at 10:30 a.m. at 3,800 feet.
